My Prompt Quest Origin Story

Hi there!

Ron Stark, a 50-year-old entrepreneur.

This is the story of how I stumbled into something that completely changed how I learn and why I’m now convinced AI simulations are the closest thing we have to actual magic.

The Day Everything Changed (May 13 2025)

It’s a Tuesday morning, and I’m desperately trying to figure out how to build a successful investment business. Like any reasonable person in 2025, I turned to the internet for answers.

After drowning in a sea of flashy ads, marathon-length courses, and enough YouTube videos to last three lifetimes, I found myself staring at my screen with that familiar “information overload” headache, the one where your brain feels like it’s running Windows 95.

That’s when I had a flash of caffeine-fueled clarity. Instead of watching another 47-minute video titled “The SECRET Investment Strategy They Don’t Want You to Know,” I opened ChatGPT and started typing.

The Birth of My AI-Simulation Frankenstein

What followed was a two-page document that looked like it was written under heavenly inspiration. I laid out everything:

  • Game rules like Dungeons & Dragons
  • Real-world constraints
  • Country-specific regulations (because the IRS doesn’t care about simulation dreams)
  • My role, AI’s role
  • A respected list of 30 major subjects
  • Goals, objectives, and enough structure to make a project manager weep with joy

I fed this beautiful monster into ChatGPT and MAGIC HAPPENED.

The Matrix Moment

The game started, and I was instantly sucked in like a kid discovering their first video game.

Two hours vanished faster than free pizza at a startup office. I couldn’t stop playing,  it was like Netflix, but instead of binge-watching someone else’s drama, I was creating my own financial empire.

In those two hours I absorbed more than weeks of traditional learning:

  • Financial leverage
  • Banking credit systems
  • Smart tax strategies
  • International regulations
  • And so much more…

I felt like Neo in The Matrix: “I know kung fu.” Only, in my case, it was “I understand business investing!” (Less impressive at parties, more useful for my bank account.)

The Lightbulb Moment

I remembered everything ,  not just the facts, but the understanding.

This wasn’t passive YouTube multitasking; it was active, engaging, interactive learning that stuck like super-glue to my neurons. Total immersion meant zero distractions.

I realized I’d stumbled onto something bigger than a cool way to learn investments. With the right simulation setup and today’s AI firepower, you can learn and practice almost anything  and have fun doing it.

The Addiction Spreads

Naturally, I couldn’t stop there. I ran my investment-business simulation five more “years” (in two hours) and built a small digital empire. It became an infinite game, able to pivot any direction I chose.

Then I got carried away (in the best way):

  • A management simulation for my son’s leadership course

  • A physics simulation for my daughter (she aced her finals)

  • A business-development simulation

  • A bootstrap-startup simulation

  • A personal-development simulation, and more…

In a few days I knew exponentially more than before practical knowledge learned by actually doing (even if simulated).

The “Aha!” Moment

That’s when it hit me: everyone deserves to discover they can learn anything they want  and actually enjoy the process.

Prompt Quest

So I did what any reasonable person would: I built AI simulations to help me simulate building the business that would provide simulations to the world 😉.

I called it Prompt Quest, and those very simulations led me here, writing this story.

Through the business-building simulation I tested different structures, weighed pros and cons, and the key recommendation was: “Go indie.”

ChatGPT and I set a one-week deadline. On May 20 2025, exactly seven days after the first simulation, the site went live with 20 simulations, quick and dirty, straight to market. We’ll figure out the rest on the fly…

The Present Day (and Beyond)

Two months later, I’m sharing Chapter One of the Prompt Quest saga. Nobody knows what happens next; this isn’t a Netflix series with a prewritten ending. But I’ve got the best tools to navigate whatever comes next: AI simulations (and this community 😉).

I’ll keep documenting the journey and inviting you to experiment, learn, and, most importantly, have fun with AI simulations. Expect free simulations along the way.

The future is unwritten, but it’s going to be one heck of a simulation.

See you soon,

Ron Stark

P.S. If you’re still reading, what’s one skill or topic you’ve always wanted to master but could never make stick with traditional learning? I’m creating new simulations and would love fresh idea, maybe I’ll crack that code for you – Contact me
